1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using The Rec Center, you agree to these Terms and our platform policies. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Account Roles and Responsibilities

The platform supports multiple roles with different permissions:

• Users: may access public content and account features permitted by their role.
• Creators: may draft and submit media content and are responsible for source accuracy, rights clearance, and compliance with applicable law.
• Editors: may review, revise, approve, reject, and publish content according to editorial policy.
• Admins: may manage roles, moderation decisions, and platform operations, including enforcement actions.

3. User Content and Editorial Liability

You retain ownership of content you submit, but you are solely responsible for that content, including legality, originality, and factual basis. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to publish submitted text, images, video, audio, and links.

Content published by users, creators, editors, guests, or contributors represents the views of the individual author and does not necessarily reflect the views, opinions, or positions of The Rec Center, its owners, employees, partners, or affiliates.

4. License Granted to The Rec Center

By submitting content, you grant The Rec Center a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, adapt for formatting, distribute, and promote that content in connection with operating and marketing the platform.

5. Prohibited Content and Conduct

You may not post or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, fraudulent, infringing, deceptive, privacy-violating, or otherwise harmful. You may not impersonate others, manipulate engagement, or use the platform to distribute malware, spam, or unauthorized advertising.

6. Moderation, Enforcement, and Removal

The Rec Center may review, restrict, de-rank, edit metadata, unpublish, or remove content and may suspend or terminate accounts for policy or legal violations. We may also preserve and disclose information when required by law, legal process, or legitimate safety and security needs.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation

The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Rec Center disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Rec Center is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from platform use.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect product, legal, or policy changes. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
